Innovative Cat 7 cable technology provides companies with expansion opportunities to support future applications demanding greater bandwidth
Manchester, NH April, 2009 - Hitachi Cable America, a leading manufacturer of copper and fiber optic cables recently announced the availability of Category 7 shielded cable to its U.S. customers. This new wire allows for multiple applications to be run over a single copper Cat 7 cable. In addition, the cable provides for compatibility with emerging technologies that will require increased bandwidth in the future. Until now, Cat 7 cable had been primarily offered to the European market. Growing demand and the need to reduce installation costs, provided Hitachi with a prime opportunity to offer to its customers with a high performance Category 7 shielded cable.
As businesses continue to grow and adapt to new technologies the shielded category 7 cable will be available to keep companies competitive and meet the increased bandwidth demands. "With rapid advancements occurring every day in technology, predicting current cabling requirements can be challenging for companies," states Steve Kenney, Marketing Manager, at Hitachi Cable America Kenney. "What's suitable today, may not necessarily be appropriate five years down the road. However, with Cat7 cable, it still provides for high performance even while underutilized, but its cost benefits are realized immediately as it eliminates cabling reinstallation costs when a company adds new advanced applications."
Each pair of Cat7 cable is individually shielded which allows for superior performance without interference, and is suitable for running multiple applications such as voice and data, videoconferencing, multimedia networks, VoIP, video on demand, and e-commerce. HCA Cat 7 cable, when used for multiple applications also offers some of the following benefits:
- Reduced Installation Time
- Less Material and Handling Expenses
- Eliminates the Need for Numerous Termination Areas
- Avoid Alien Cross Talk During Data Transfers
- Drastic Reduction in Noise Level and Improved Signal-to-Noise Ratio
