Proterial Cable America (PCA) offers outdoor cable designs for Category 5e, 6 and 6A. These outdoor, or Outside Plant (OSP), cables are robust and designed to offer reliable performance regardless of the conditions in which they were installed. Tough polyethylene outer jackets with carbon black protect the cable core from water and the harsh sun. A gel-filled inner core prevents the migration of any water that may have breached the outer layers of protection. Whether used in lashed aerial, duct or underground conduits, these cables meet high technical performance reliability standards. They are designed to support applications such as Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet as well as deliver power to outdoor Power Over Ethernet (PoE) devices.
