USB 3.0 Cable Description
Two Super-speed 24 AWG solid silver plated copper twinax pairs are built with foam polyolefin to 90 ohms and are shielded with an aluminum/PET tape with a 26 AWG solid silver plated copper drain wire on the inside of the foil shield. Pair colors are violet & orange and blue & yellow. The pair's taped surface is marked for easy identification.
The low speed pair is made with 24 AWG, 19/36 TC and insulated with flame retardant polyolefin. The power wires are 24 AWG, 19/36 TC with semi-rigid PVC insulation.
All of these components and filler are cabled together with a left hand lay and wrapped with an aluminum/polyester tape with the aluminum side out. There is an 85% TC braid.
A black PVC overall jacket of .375" (6.98mm) is then applied.
