Proterial Cable America’s Fault Managed Power Systems (FMPS) portfolio delivers Class 4 power and fiber in a single, safe, code-aligned system. By combining power and data in a single, streamlined solution, FMPS enables projects to move faster, reduces installation costs, and simplifies infrastructure for DAS, 5G, and smart building applications.
Every FMPS product is designed and manufactured in Manchester, NH, with UL Class 4 approvals and rigorous in-house testing. From cell towers to large facilities, our systems provide contractors and integrators with a dependable, American-made foundation for modern deployments.
Our flagship Power+™ cable merges copper and fiber in one streamlined build, making FMPS deployments simpler and more cost-effective. Designed for code compliance and long-term reliability, it delivers proven performance in hybrid power and data applications.
Every FMPS cable is built in our Manchester, NH, facility with complete design, extrusion, and testing oversight.
Backed by a track record of field success, our solutions deliver dependable performance across DAS and wireless deployments.
Our hybrid fiber designs are engineered specifically for FMPS applications, rather than being adapted from catalog parts.
Our 300,000 sq ft facility operates 150+ production lines for armoring, extrusion, cabling, jacketing, braiding, and corrugating, with in-line cameras to maintain consistent quality.
FMPS hybrids replace two parallel cable plants with one power delivery system. That means faster installation, less pathway management, and long-distance power delivery to connected devices and critical equipment. The result is reliable power distribution with clear advantages and measurable benefits over separate pulls.
We offer PVC, LSZH, and TPE to match site conditions for indoor, outdoor, and DAS projects. These constructions are selected to align with project wiring methods and maintain performance under potential fault conditions. Each build is specifically tailored for the application, ensuring the technology performs as intended over time.
UL Class 4 aligns with the national electrical code and its new article addressing FMPS. Class 4 systems use active monitoring and control to recognize a fault event, then limit or stop transmitting power so the system remains within its power limit. In practice, that is how FMPS can deliver high-voltage DC power and more power safely over distance.
Our manufacturing is vertically integrated, allowing us to oversee the entire power distribution system from design through testing. This approach, combined with rigorous QA, plays a pivotal role in dependable operation under real-world demand. It is backed by a limited lifetime warranty when installed by certified partners.
FMPS supports DAS, 5G small cells, cell towers, and smart buildings that require higher loads and significant power across longer runs. It is a strong fit for wireless densification and other projects where you need to move DC power farther than PoE can, while using fiber for data. Some platforms use digital electricity to achieve these distances, and shorter links may still use Ethernet where appropriate.
Let’s bring your project to life with the high-performance materials and components you need to drive innovation and build a better future.
