Rapid Prototyping

Customers are a part of the process at PCA-HPMS. With our Innovation Hub and onsite R&D lab, we offer rapid prototyping where customers, engineers, and experts can collaborate in real time to make adjustments, explore alternate compounds, and produce a sample for the customer to take home. Additionally, our in-house tooling shop allows us to create custom tooling on demand, reducing costs and lead times by eliminating the need for third-party suppliers.

We manufacture multi-lumen extrusion with precise inner and outer diameters. We offer up to 24 lumens per tube and up to three layers. Our multi-lumen extrusion supports both simple designs and complex configurations. Available in a variety of materials, our multi-lumen extrusion can feature up to three taper transitions.

High Pressure Braided Tubing, or Reinforced Tubing, enhances the strength, torque, kink resistance and precise fluid management of an extruded tube while maintaining flexibility and structural integrity. These services include precision trimming, heat forming and flaring, hole drilling and punching, tube bonding and assembly, pad and roll printing, and injection molding. Whether it’s customizing catheter tips, bonding complex multi-lumen tubes, or printing unique identifiers, our in-house secondary operations are backed by expert tooling and engineering support. We also offer comprehensive testing capabilities such as pressure and occlusion testing, and non-destructive internal imaging with x-ray.
Yes! We specialize in braiding, printing, punching, and more. From mandrels to multi-layer and multi-lumen designs, we cover it all. Our in-house tool shop enables quick-turn quality dies and sets for a wide range of sizes, shapes, and configurations. We offer single and multi-lumen tubing, bump and balloon tubing, high-pressure braided tubing, and braided shafts. Additional value-add services include pad-printing, flaring, tipping, punching, and welding.
We achieve precise dimensions and tight tolerances, meeting as low as .0005” wall or ID and .010” in length.
We specialize in thermoplastics and workhorse materials like TPU, Pebax, Nylon, PP, PE, and PVC daily. We also work with TPEs, PC, ABS, PET, and high-temperature resins like PEEK and PSU. Additionally, we handle custom blends with lubricious and radiopaque additives, collaborating with resin partners to tailor compounds to customer needs.
Our extruders range from 1/2” to 2” screws. Our engineering team optimizes each design for manufacturability to ensure maximum yield. We use laser micrometers on our medical tubing extrusion line for continuous in-line quality control.
