Meet the Team

PCA’s Cable Solutions Engineering division is broken down into four business units operating out of our Manchester, New Hampshire location—Cu Premise Cables, Fiber Optic Cables, Wireless Cables and Specialty Cables. Each unit has a subject matter expert assigned to it, and truly what sets PCA apart is the team’s collective knowledge.

Eduardo Garza, Director of Product Engineering

Having a good leader is key to making sure everything from dependable fiber optic cables to innovative wireless parts are constructed with a high degree of efficiency while also maintaining an elevated level of quality. Eduardo oversees everything the cable solutions Engineering team does at PCA and his fellow engineers are glad to have him setting the bar.

“He’s an amazing leader,” PCA Engineer Henry Rice says. “The best I’ve ever worked for. He’s a strategic planner and he’s calm, cool and collected.”

Eduardo has worked for PCA for 18 years, and through his leadership, the team has the right people in the right places to create a culture of accountability and success.

“The Principal Product Engineers work very well as a team because they complement each other,” he says. “They are very skilled, so being able to share their knowledge with the experts from different cable business units that target different markets is certainly a major advantage for us.”

Ken Davis, Principal Product Engineer - Wireless

Ken Davis has worked in wire and cabling for 31 years. For the last 25 of those years, he has worked at PCA. In charge of the wireless products business unit, Ken is a problem solver, finding creative solutions for any issues that pop up while helping guide the manufacturing process.

“Ken’s broad cable knowledge, meticulous attention to detail as well as his ability to thoroughly and clearly explain a particular situation is legendary within PCA,” Eduardo says.

Ken is proud of the work he does at PCA, noting the unique ability the company has to follow the manufacturing process from beginning to end.

“We are vertically integrated, which positions PCA to successfully support the evolving Wireless market. Fiber and DC Power design along with complete manufacturing, under one roof,” he says. “This allows PCA to control the process from start to finish. No specification—no worries, provide a description and we can design it, build it, perform full Environmental Testing and deliver a quality solution every time.”

Tom Roy, Principal Product Engineer - Specialty

Many product orders at PCA come in for a specific part in a specific unit like fiber optics or premise cabling. But some orders require custom work within one of those units that needs special attention. Tom Roy and the Specialty business unit tackle these projects so that we give each customer the attention they deserve.

“Tom’s range of experience with numerous cable types that target multiple industries is extraordinary,” Eduardo says. “In addition, his calm demeanor and his ability to dissect any given technical challenge is exactly what is needed in the Specialty business unit”.

Tom has worked at PCA for 8 years, but has 43 years of experience in the wire and cable field. Having an Engineer to turn to when a problem needs such a specific solution isn’t only helpful, it’s something PCA considers essential for our customers.

Henry Rice, Field Applications Engineer – Fiber Optics

Fiber Optics is an ever-growing field that requires someone who is highly knowledgeable and detail-oriented. Henry is that person at PCA.

“Besides being the optical fiber pundit in the plant, Henry’s main ability is his flexibility to go from dissecting very specific problems/hurdles to being able to look at the bigger picture to ensure the best outcome for the company,” Eduardo says. “When you combine this with a genuine care for the well-being of the company and its people, you have a winning solution”.

Henry has worked at PCA for nearly 10 years, but he has worked in wire and cable for 28 years. When prospective customers have a question for the Engineering department, Henry is the person that responds, always quick to share our ability to help.

Jacob Savoie, Principal Product Engineer - Premise

Jacob Savoie is the Principal Product Engineer for Cu Premise cables at PCA, where he has worked for the last 6 years.

Premise cabling refers to cabling within buildings, and the most widely used form of cabling in premise is copper. Jacob makes sure PCA is efficiently manufacturing reliable and top of the line copper cable, a role he excels in.

“Jacob’s ability to understand and master new concepts and ideas is what has propelled him to excel in a relatively short amount of time,” Eduardo says. “He is a bright Engineer with ambitious goals, perfect recipe for success”.
