Water Jet Cutting

Water jet cutting is used in various industries for cutting, shaping, and reaming machine components. It is very useful to greatly reduce the machine time by precutting larger stock.

Our system can easily machine almost any material, from steel and titanium to carbon fiber, composites, glass, and more. The equipment can produce highly intricate cuts in those materials and fine details such as sharp corners, bevels, pierced holes, and shapes with minimal internal radii. With specialized software and 3-D machining heads, complex shapes can be quickly produced and reproduced.

Another important benefit of our water jet system is the ability to cut material without interfering with its inherent structure, since there is no heat-affected zone (HAZ). This allows the materials to be cut without harming or changing their intrinsic material properties.

The table configuration allows uncut parts to be nested closely together, which can save dramatically on productions costs by reducing the amount of scrap material that is produced while also reducing time required for secondary machining operations. Waterjet cutting can be used for textiles, rubber, foam, plastics, leather, composites, stone, tile, glass, metals, food, paper and much more.

We have worked with a wide variety of industry partners ranging from major OEMs in the medical, military, and commercial space, to everyday inventors, artists, and universities. Please contact us at the link above if you are interested in learning more.
