Manchester, NH April 16, 2009 - Hitachi Cable America (HCA) continues to be a leader in green initiatives. HCA has initiated a feasibility study to determine the cost and capabilities of a roof-mounted solar array for its 300,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Manchester, NH.

Working with its contractor, HCA will explore the size and electricity generating capacity of a roof-mounted system. With more than five football fields of rooftop space to work with, HCA is energized by the possibilities of producing a large share of the electricity it uses. Mike Gallant, Vice President, said, "We've started down this path not just because HCA believes in renewable energy, but because as a leader in our industry, we believe it is important to set an example. We hope that other companies will consider using solar as well."
